Volunteer

Your time and talents matter.

People of all ages have talents to contribute. If you’re interested in volunteering, time spent at Plymouth Place™ will be as rewarding for you as it is for the older adults with whom you share your time.

Any contribution of your time and talent is appreciated, whether it’s a few hours a month, a weekly commitment or help with a one-time special event. We can easily accommodate your schedule.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Helping with special events
  • Making friendly room visits
  • Accompanying residents to events
  • Sharing talents (music, art, computer skills, or another specialty)
  • Playing games or cards with residents

An annual recognition event is held each year to thank our volunteers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Plymouth Place counts on volunteers who are self-starters, are comfortable around older people, can share their talents, help regularly, and take direction well.

Yes. We welcome individuals who must fulfill service-hour requirements for school or confirmation, and we encourage a regular commitment. If you need many hours, we advise you to set up a volunteer schedule to accumulate service hours over time.

Absolutely! We are pleased to have service groups, church groups, and families volunteer. Groups must be a maximum of 15 people. Volunteer activities include bingo, games, one-on-one visits, walking with residents, and more. Activities depend on the size of the group, the age of its members, and time of year. If your group is interested, please have the group leader email volunteer@plymouthplace.org.
