Life Care Retirement Community

A Continuing Care Retirement Community, or CCRC, provides a wide range of services and options for residents. Most CCRCs include cottages and apartments, dining rooms, a nursing care center, and other common areas. Services might be offered as bundled packages or on an al a carte basis. These can include meals, housekeeping and laundry services, transportation, social and recreational programs, assistance with personal care, and short- and long-term nursing care. Some CCRCs include nursing care in the monthly fee, while others may charge on a fee-for-service basis.

Life Care Communities are a specific type of CCRC. Plymouth Place is a Life Care Retirement Community. At a Life Care Community, a person has the option of signing a Life Care Contract, which assures that the Community will care for the resident for life.
